Portland Technology Development- Process TD Engineer- Fault Isolation/ Failure Analysis:
 Job Description
 - Play critical role in Intel's industry leading next-generation semiconductor process technology development by Fault Isolation and Failure Analysis (FI/FA) of fails in leading edge microprocessors to isolate defects induced either because of process development experiments or process excursion.
 - Interface with Portland Technology Development (PTD) Yield Engineers to understand the distribution and relative importance of various microprocessor fails, perform FI/FA on fails to isolate defects on die using a variety of test and characterization techniques including electrical, laser and IR based probing as well as nanoprobing, and interface with PTD Failure Analysis Engineers to visualize the defects, so PTD Integration Engineers can drive the reduction of the defects in the process
 - Support development and maintenance of state of the art electrical and analytical test and characterization systems and equipment

 MS or BS in any Engineering/ Science discipline, but Electrical Engineering graduates preferred. Hands-on experience/ aptitude in a laboratory required, as position involves extensive and intricate data collection on sophisticated multi-million dollar tools. No prior experience with FI/FA required. As long as candidates are motivated to excel and have strong engineering/ physics fundamentals, all training needed for exceling on the job will be provided.
