Subject: CS internship with Intel

My name is Lance, and I am a recruiter working an internship opening with Intel in Hillsboro, OR. I am including a short job description and would greatly appreciate it if you can post it on the graduate forums or forward to any interested parties. My contact information is also below should anyone want more information.

Job description
The internship position is to be a part of a development team looking at new ways of visualizing and analyzing parallel applications built using Intel® Threading Building Blocks (TBB). Intel® TBB provides many algorithms for expressing commonly encountered patterns resulting in scalable parallel performance. Since majority of the TBB runtime implementation is in the headers, tracing techniques will be employed to capture the semantic information and runtime traces of TBB applications. The FlowGraphDesigner application is a prototype being built to handle the captured trace data.

(1). A document specifying the details of “prioritized” features including the interfaces and plugin interaction with the GUI infrastructure.
(2). A document specifying the data structures, runtime library methods and algorithms used to implement the feature in 1.
(3). An implementation of item 2 above, code reviewed through the team, tested on standard testing machines for platforms {x86, x64}x{Linux, Mac, Windows} .
(4). Documentation of this feature – as a standalone help entity as well as integrating the help into the GUI infrastructure.
(5) Assisting in the testing of the trace collector and ensuring that the test coverage of the capability is comprehensive. Testing may require setting up a test system and ensuring that the code successfully compiles and runs the unit tests.

Required Skills:
Knowledge of C/C++, Qt Toolkit, some knowledge of Intel® Threading Building Blocks.

Additional Skills and or education:
Experience with developing using agile methodologies would be an added advantage. Autonomous work ethic and knowledge of other languages/platforms is an advantage. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills is required. The ideal candidate will have completed a BS in CS and be working towards a Masters degree in CS

Years of experience required for this positions: ~4 of lab or internship experience will be acceptable
