Software Development in Test
Location: Beaverton, OR

About the Role:
The ideal candidate will be able to make a major impact on the overall quality of the product under test and greatly influence the outcome for end-to-end usability of new or existing features.  Your Primary focus will be to write code to test code with a goal of writing robust, reliable and repeatable tests that find issues early. You should enjoy building lasting designs, implementing robust maintainable code, and being a partner in the design of components while advancing the technologies and approaches for testing software. Growth in this role means growing as an engineer: Strong designs that are built to last, deep component knowledge and broad scenario experience will be measures of success. You will be working with the source code for the product as much as you are working with test source.

Key Responsibilities:
*         Diagnose and root cause technical issues
*         Execute automated test cases, complete test plans, and walk through product integration scenarios on all supported platforms and configurations
*         Conduct peer reviews against production code and identify weaknesses in design or implementation for a complete end user experience within the product under test.
*         Contribute to code coverage reporting, by using automated tests against an instrumented build to determine the actual percentage of test effectiveness against the code executed.
*         Work within a core system scrum team and keep in constant communication with team members involved, to ensure new features meet all acceptance test criteria identified, before entering into continuous automation testing.

*         Work closely with engineering team to review product code changes, develop feature test plans and test suites, peer review, and execution of both manual and automated test procedures in accordance to test plan identified

*         Effectively communicate status and progress of assignments
Experience
Required Experience/Skills & Education:
*         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
*         4+ years of direct software development experience on Windows Platform in C/C++/C#, driver development experience a plus
*         Candidate with a working knowledge of windows PC technologies and basic network related concepts is a plus
*         Candidate must have the ability to program in one of the following languages C, C++, C#, or kernel
*         Strong problem solving and analytical skills such as root causing from crash dump files
*         Experience testing through a entire ship cycle and 2 + years software testing experience preferred
