Growing up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Kate Remley was fascinated with electronics projects. Her wanderlust brought her to Eugene, Oregon, where she worked as a radio broadcast engineer until she was 28 when Kate finally enrolled at Oregon State.
She left Oregon for the National Institute of Standards and Technology where she develops measurement methods and provides technical support of U.S. industry and the public safety sector. Kate also serves as the editor of Microwave Magazine, the professional periodical for IEEE.
